Alan Priddy has had a lifetime on the water, starting sailing at the age of just eight. His most recent venture was The Raymarine Lively Lady Project – an around the world voyage in Sir Alec Rose’s classic yacht, Lively Lady. The voyage aimed to make a difference to the lives of young adults with limited opportunities and it’s certainly done that. All the young adults who took part are now in full-time employment or further education and are now working together to plan the next stage of the project, Around and Around, and to mentor another group of young adults.

Prior to The Raymarine Lively Lady Project, Alan became renowned for his record-breaking exploits in powerboats, covering some 200,000 miles at sea, achieving 30 port-to-port records, three transatlantic crossings and a world circumnavigation. Many of these trips have been done for the benefit of charities that help better the lives of others.
