Sandy Morrison and his team are raising funds for RNLI and Moray Inshore Rescue Organisation by circumnavigating Scotland in  a RIB.  Starting from Findhorn on Saturday June 6th 2009  the journey will take them round Scotland either in a westerly or eastern direction depending on weather arriving back in Findhorn.  During the circumnavigation, the RIB will call in at all RNLI mainland stations.  The journey is expected to take 7 days.   

Sandy has been a Governor and active suporter of the RNLI for ten years. Sandy says "The volunteers of RNLI and MIRO do a fantastic job of saving lives 365 days a year and I am keen to raise as much money by undertaking this arduous trip round Scotland in the RIB for very good causes. "

Alan Priddy was the first person along with a team of 4 to take a RIB from Portsmouth, USA to Portsmouth, UK through the North Atlantic route in1997.  He says: "I wish Sandy and his team all the very best for their courageous attempt to circumnavigate Scotland.
After crossing every ocean in the world my mind still goes back to the inaugural Round Scotland RIB Raid nearly twenty years ago with fond memories.
